Let’s work together.
Fiddling is my musical passion. I play a blend of Celtic, Metis, and Old Time styles, drawing inspiration from artists like Natalie MacMaster, Mark Sullivan, John Arcand, and the Rankin Family to name a few. I can play for your wedding, provide a background soundtrack for your dinner party, fiddle for a barn dance, or run through Metis-specific cultural teachings and tunes. Sound like we’d work well together? Fill out this form and I’ll be in touch!
A family tradition…
My great-great grandmother was named May Flora Bray (McKay). She was a Metis woman living at Fort Walsh, Saskatchewan in the mid-to-late 1800’s. To this day her fiddle has been passed down in my family, and I have even had the privilege of playing it. Up until now, there have been no other fiddlers in my direct family line. I have the distinct privilege of being her musical daughter.
Kitchen Party Co.
Kitchen Party Collective is a blossoming interactive workshop hosted by Abigail Wiebe Music and members of her family. Learn the basics of spoon playing, simple jigging steps, and hear Metis stories and history in the culturally authentic context of family.
